One of the first plants to emerge in the spring, even through snow, The Egyptian Onion will shoot it’s blue green leaves out into the ether where new bulbs will form where the leaves have matured. The weight of the new bulblet causes the stems to bow and produce more onion sets and in doing so walk around the garden. Spring onions can be harvested whose leaves can be used instead of chives.
