Allium ‘Purple Rain’ is a cross between ‘Purple Sensation’ and Allium ‘Cristophii’ with full round globes of star shaped flowers reaching up to 15cm in diameter. Well known for attracting bees and butterflies, this allium is deeply satisfying for height and performance and fantastic en masse, well suited to gravel or prairie-style planting schemes planted through leafy perennials or grasses.
Alliums are drought tolerant, will naturalise easily and are resistant to deer.
